Pathfinder Ignition Coil Issue

Could you elaborate on which connections you are referring to specifically? Are you suggesting I visually inspect the connectors and wiring harness leading to each ignition coil? I am trying to gather as much information as possible before taking it in for service.

Yes, exactly. I recommend a careful visual inspection of the cable and plug connections to each ignition coil. Look for any signs of damage, corrosion, or loose connections. However, if you're not comfortable working on the engine, I'd suggest taking it to a trusted workshop for diagnosis. Given your description, it does sound like a coil pack issue and will probably require replacement. Better to be safe than sorry.

After your suggestion and a recommendation to visit a workshop, a defective ignition coil was indeed identified during the diagnostic procedure. The root cause was a defective plug connection. The repair, including parts and labour, amounted to 95€.

I also own a Pathfinder (though not the hybrid version), and your symptoms sound very familiar. Rough running, stalling, and the check engine light are all classic signs. The jerking under acceleration is also quite telling. Have you checked the connections to the ignition coils themselves? Sometimes a loose or corroded connector can cause similar problems.
