Pathfinder Temperature Readings and Check Engine Light

I have a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder, gasoline engine. Lately, the display in the instrument cluster has been showing some weird temperature readings, and the check engine light is constantly on. Plus, it seems like the engine is taking forever to warm up. I've checked the cooling grille for any obvious blockage but couldn't find anything. Mileage is at 201747 km. Any ideas?

That's odd. I've got a Pathfinder too. Sounds kinda like what happened to mine a while back. Was the airflow restricted, like something blocking the radiator? That can mess with the temp sensor readings because the engine isn't cooling properly. Is the radiator actually hot when the gauge shows cold?

Restricted airflow... interesting. How would I know for sure if that's the issue? I mean, I visually inspected the grille, and it looked clear. And if it was restricted, what exactly did you do to fix it?

Well, in my case, the airflow was indeed restricted. Took it to a workshop for diagnosis. They checked the fuse of the cooling system which happened to be defective. I'd recommend getting it checked out professionally; they'll have the tools to properly diagnose the cooling system including the thermal management. Better safe than sorry, you know?

Okay, thanks for the advice! I'll take it to the workshop then. Turns out that the fuse for the thermal management had a defect. They replaced it (cost me 52€), and now everything's back to normal!
