Patrol Alarm System Fault

I have a 2015 Nissan Patrol with a gasoline engine. The alarm system is not working, and the error memory shows a siren communication fault. I suspect it's a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this?

Patrol owner here. Sounds familiar. My alarm acted up a while back, showing similar symptoms. Did you check the connections under the hood? I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out. Is your key fob still able to lock/unlock the doors, or is that acting up too?

Thank you for your response. The key fob still locks and unlocks the doors. Could you specify which connections you checked under the hood?

Okay, key fob working is a good sign. Honestly, I poked around at all the visible wiring near the siren itself. I couldn't see anything obvious, so I eventually gave up and took it to a workshop. They found a corroded connector. Might be worth just getting it checked out, save yourself the headache. My repair cost about 95€. That said, no guarantees you'll have the exact same issue.

Understood. I appreciate the advice. I'll take it to a workshop for a diagnosis. Hopefully, it will resolve the issue.
