Interesting! Do you recall any specific details about the Audi, or which cable/plug connection was the culprit? I'm trying to narrow down the possibilities before I start replacing parts.

Unfortunately, I don't recall the exact details, but I do remember it required diagnostics to pinpoint the precise location of the defective connection. It's often difficult to find it yourself. Better to visit the workshop, they will deal with the malfunction.

Thanks for the insight. I took your advice and brought it to the workshop. You were spot on – it was indeed a defective cable/plug connection to the actuator. The final repair cost came to around 95€, including diagnostics and replacement. Thanks again!

That sounds awfully familiar. I had a similar cruise control malfunction in my old Audi A6. It turned out to be a defective cable or plug connection. Those pesky intermittent electrical faults can be a real headache!
