Patrol rough idle defective plug

Transmission mount, huh? Didn't think about that. Is it likely both engine and transmission mounts would fail at the same time? I should probably inspect the mounting bracket.

It's possible they went simultaneously, or that one failing accelerated the other. With the Audi it was pretty clear upon inspection, a failed mount is often visibly damaged. It's best to visit a workshop, they will figure it out.

Turns out it was a defective plug connection. Replacing it solved the rough idle. Cost 95€. Thanks for the help!

Interesting. I had similar symptoms with my old Audi A4 - different car, I know. Error messages and lumpy idling. Did you check the transmission mount as well? Could be mount wear in general since the engine and transmission are connected.
