Patrol warning light and smoke
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Nissan Patrol owner reported a warning light on the speedometer and smoke during acceleration. A similar issue was resolved by replacing a defective exhaust back pressure sensor, which can affect emission control. It is suggested to have the sensor checked at a workshop to confirm if it is the cause of the problem.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

The engine seems to be running normally, except for the smoke and the light. How did you solve your issue? Did it also point to the back pressure?

Yeah, same symptoms here. Turned out it was a defective exhaust back pressure sensor. Get it checked at a workshop to confirm. Cost me about 245€ to fix it.

Thanks for the info! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the exhaust back pressure sensor. Hopefully, it's just that. Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my Patrol. Is the engine running rough at all? Might be the back pressure sensor, affecting your emission control.
