Power Loss in BMW x5 - Help Needed

Hello everyone, I have a 2004 BMW x5, with a diesel engine and 321,000 km. Recently, I've noticed a loss of power when climbing hills, although the engine runs fine when starting and responds well to gear changes. The previous owner removed the front driveshaft due to clicking noises, but I still have it in the trunk and I've acquired a new transfer case. I've already consulted a mechanic, but they couldn't identify the problem. Could it be the transfer case, turbo, or maybe the pipes? I'm from Lisbon and would appreciate any help or advice you could offer. Thank you!

Start by checking the turbocharger hoses and intercooler for any leaks or cracks, as these can cause a loss of power, especially under load like climbing hills. Ensure all connections are secure. If you find any issues, repair or replace the affected parts. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!
