Persistent power loss problems with BMW M5 E60

Hi all, I have a BMW M5 E60 that constantly displays a 'loss of power' message. I have taken the car several times to the official BMW technical service, but they have not been able to solve the problem and each visit results in a considerable bill. Has anyone experienced something similar? What could be causing this problem and what solutions are there? Also, could you recommend me the best specialized BMW workshop in Spain? Thanks in advance for your help!

Check the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor for dirt or damage, as it can cause power loss issues. Cleaning or replacing it might resolve the problem. Let me know if this helps or if you have any further questions!

I get cylinder disconnection and transmission failure.

Inspect the ignition coils and spark plugs for wear or damage, as faulty ones can lead to cylinder misfires and power loss. If the issue persists, it might be best to have a professional mechanic take a closer look, especially since it involves the transmission. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions!

Spark plugs and ignition coils have been new for three months. It has been tried to change the spark plug of cylinder 10 with a new NGK spark plug. The error persists.

Check the fuel injectors for clogs or malfunction, as they can cause misfires and power loss. Consider using a fuel injector cleaner or having them professionally inspected. Keep me updated on your progress or if you have more questions!

This essay-error game is not the solution. It’s not helping anyone. The invoice is increasing without solving anything…?

I understand your frustration. Since the issue involves both cylinder disconnection and transmission failure, it might be worth checking the vehicle's ECU (Engine Control Unit) for any error codes that could provide more insight. A comprehensive diagnostic scan could reveal underlying issues that haven't been addressed yet. If you haven't already, consider visiting a BMW specialist who can perform a thorough diagnostic. Let me know if you need further assistance or have any questions!

Hello! I have an x5 with an n57d30b engine and recently replaced the EGR valve (Wahler) because I had it in the fault memory. Position control. Despite the replacement, the same error occurs occasionally. Every 200km... what could be the cause?

Check the EGR valve wiring and connectors for any signs of damage or corrosion, as poor electrical connections can cause intermittent errors. Ensure the connections are secure and clean. If the issue continues, a deeper diagnostic might be necessary. Let me know how it goes or if you have more questions!
