Petra stuck in transport mode
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Fiat Petra diesel is stuck in transport mode, with additional issues like a general electrical malfunction and non-functional navigation. Despite checking fuses, battery connections, and attempting an ECU reset by disconnecting the battery, the problem persists. The diagnostic tool incorrectly identifies the vehicle as new, and the engine won't start, although the key fob works for locking and unlocking. A suggested solution is to take the car to a certified workshop for a software update and complete reset, as similar issues have been resolved this way.

Yes, the dashboard is a mess of lights! I only have one key fob. Where should I look for the vehicle settings? I've been through the infotainment system, but I can't find anything related to transport mode.

If you can't find it in the infotainment, it might need a software update. I had to take mine to a certified workshop to get it sorted. They hooked it up to their diagnostic system and performed a complete reset. That fixed it.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like there's no other option. Appreciate the confirmation. I'll post the resolution when it's fixed.

Sounds familiar! I had something similar with my Petra. Is the dashboard lighting up with error messages? Check the vehicle settings first. Have you tried a different key fob, if you have a spare?
