Peugeot 1007 ABS Fault

Hi. My 2006 Peugeot 1007 diesel has developed a fault. The ABS lamp lights up, and the ABS system fails. I scanned it and there's an error stored related to the lateral acceleration sensor. I've checked the wiring, but no luck. Anyone seen this before?

I had similar ABS issues on my 1007. If it's the lateral acceleration sensor, that usually means the control unit is defective. Have you noticed any pulling to one side? Check wheel alignment, it is likely a faulty ABS unit.

Thanks for the info! I haven't noticed any pulling, but I will get the wheel alignment checked, although I suspect it is something else. Is the ABS unit repair expensive?

Yeah, unfortunately it's not cheap. For me, it also pointed to the control unit which was defective. The repair at the workshop set me back around 1000€. I'd recommend getting a professional diagnosis to confirm before spending any money.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a garage, and you were right - the control unit was defective. Cost me about 1000€ to replace, but it's sorted now.
