Peugeot 1007 audio system failure

Hi, I have a 2005 Peugeot 1007 diesel and the audio system is completely dead. Diagnostic tools show an error, but the code isn't clear. I've checked the head unit and amplifier fuses, which seem fine. It's done 292900 km, so I'm guessing the display is faulty. Has anyone had similar issues, like speaker crackle or dashboard control failure? Are Bluetooth problems or faulty wiring common?

Audio problems, huh? Sounds like a pain. Does the head unit power on at all, or is it totally dead?

Thanks. The head unit is completely unresponsive – no power, no display, nothing. Is there anything else I should check before replacing it? Like a relay, or a common weak point on the Peugeot 1007?

Totally dead, eh? If the fuses are good, and it's not even flickering, it's probably the display itself then. Unfortunately it will probably need a new stereo. I'd take it to a shop if I were you and didn't have the expertise to install it myself.

Thanks for the advice. I spoke to a technician and they confirmed the display was defective, as suspected. The repair cost 725€ including parts and labor. Thanks again for your help.
