Peugeot 1007 battery discharging

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2007 Peugeot 1007, gasoline engine. The battery seems to be constantly discharging. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, and the lights are weak and flickering. I've checked the error memory and there's something stored there related to the battery. Starting the engine is also becoming a struggle; the battery just feels weak. I suspect a defective battery sensor, but I'm not entirely sure. Has anyone else experienced something similar with their 1007?

Oh, that sounds frustrating! I had something vaguely familiar happen with my 1007 too. I was getting weird electrical gremlins popping up. Were you able to check the battery terminals? Maybe they're corroded or loose? That can sometimes cause a phantom drain.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did check the battery terminals, and they seem to be clean and tight. I'm really leaning towards this being some sort of sensor issue causing the battery to drain even when the car is off. Any chance you remember any specific error codes or additional symptoms you had when you faced the same problem?

Honestly, I can't recall the specific error codes, sorry! All I know is that it was driving me nuts, and I just brought it to a workshop to get it sorted. They figured it out way faster than I would have, and it saved me a ton of headache. I remember them saying it was some kind of electrical thing that was related to a sensor

Okay, thanks a lot! I appreciate the suggestion. I was hoping to avoid taking it to the workshop, but it sounds like that might be the best course of action at this point. I'll book it in and hopefully get it resolved without too much expense. Just got it fixed, it was the battery sensor like I initially suspected. Cost me 315€ to repair, but hopefully no more issues now!
