Peugeot 1007 Blower Motor Failure

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help. I've got a 2006 Peugeot 1007, gasoline engine, and the blower motor isn't working. The mileage is about 280k kilometers. I've been reading online, and it seems like it might be the AUC sensor? Could a faulty air conditioning sensor really stop the blower motor completely? Any ideas?

It's plausible that a malfunctioning AUC sensor could indeed be the cause. I had a similar issue with a 2012 Volvo V60 where the air quality sensor failure disabled the climate control system. I would recommend inspecting the sensor's cable and plug connection for any visible defects.

Thanks for the reply! When you say 'inspect the sensor's cable and plug connection,' what exactly should I be looking for? Is it something obvious, or do I need to get a multimeter out?

Start with a visual check for any obvious problems, like corrosion, disconnections, or breaks in the insulation. If that doesn't show anything, using a multimeter to check continuity and voltage at the plug connection would be the next step. Given your experience level, I'd recommend taking your Peugeot to a workshop to avoid causing more damage.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to a shop, and you were spot on! It was the AUC sensor cable. They charged me 95€ to fix it. At least the air conditioning is working again!
