Peugeot 1007 clutch pedal switch issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 1007 diesel with low mileage is experiencing issues such as an error in memory, lack of gear selection display, non-functional cruise control, and occasional engine starting problems. These symptoms suggest a potential fault with the clutch pedal switch. A defective connection to the switch was identified as the cause, and the issue was resolved by a mechanic.

Thanks for the quick reply! No stalling yet, but the other symptoms are spot on. Where exactly should I be looking for the cable and plug connection? I'm not the most mechanically minded, to be honest.

Honestly, it's a bit fiddly to get to without the right tools. Given all the symptoms you're describing, and that you're not super confident with car electrics, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Might save you a headache in the long run.

I took your advice and went to a local mechanic. Turns out you were right, it was a defective connection to the clutch pedal switch. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!

I had similar issues with my 1007. Is the car stalling, too? It could be the connection to the switch itself, like a dodgy cable or plug. Have you checked those?
