Peugeot 1007 fuel flap issue

Hi, my 2005 Peugeot 1007 diesel has a weird problem. The fuel flap release isn't working. I get an error message, can't open the fuel door, and some other car functions are acting up. Anyone seen this before?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane. The fuel door wouldn't open, and it threw some random error codes. Have you checked the release button itself? Could be a dodgy connection or a blown fuse affecting the circuit. Start with the basics.

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is the fuse for the fuel flap located? And is there an electric actuator involved here? I'm not really familiar with the fuel door setup on the 1007.

I can't tell you exactly where the fuse is in your 1007 - check your owner's manual. Yes, there's likely an electric actuator that controls the locking/unlocking mechanism for the fuel filler flap. That actuator could be faulty, or there could be a problem with the wiring harness. It could also be a defective linkage, if it has one. Best to get it checked at a workshop. They'll diagnose the electrical fault properly.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I took it to a local shop, and they found a defective actuator. Repair cost me 210€. All sorted now!
