Peugeot 1007 key battery low

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2005 Peugeot 1007 1.4 gasoline. The car keeps showing a 'key battery low' warning. Now the keyless access no longer works, an error is stored in the error memory and unlocking or locking is not working properly anymore. I'm guessing it's just the key battery, car has 168690 km on it. Anyone else had this?

Yep, had the same thing on my Peugeot. I think it was a 207. The low battery warning is usually pretty accurate. Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob?

Yeah, definitely the battery. If I remember correctly, it was a standard CR2032 button cell. Replacing it was easy, just needed a small screwdriver to open the key fob. If you are unsure, visit your local workshop, they should be able to do it for you in a few minutes.

Thanks a lot! I replaced the battery, and that solved the problem. Cost me 37€ including the new battery and programming the key again.
