Peugeot 1007 Multifunction Steering Wheel Failure
Summary of the thread
The multifunction steering wheel on a 2008 Peugeot 1007 was not working, and diagnostics indicated an error. The issue was suspected to be a connectivity or electrical fault, possibly due to a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. It was suggested to inspect the wiring harness, particularly the connections inside the steering wheel and where the harness enters the column. Ultimately, a workshop confirmed the defective cable connection and repaired it.

Where should I focus when inspecting the wiring harness? Are there specific weak points to check?

Check the connections inside the steering wheel and where the harness enters the column. Honestly, it's usually easier to just get it to a workshop with the proper diagnostic tools. They'll pinpoint it quick.

Took the Peugeot to a workshop, and they confirmed a defective cable connection in the steering wheel, like you said. Repair cost was 95€. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, seen it before. Cable connection in the steering wheel is likely defective. Have you checked the wiring harness for any obvious damage?
