Peugeot 1007 PCV Valve Issue

Hey, I have a 2006 Peugeot 1007, gasoline engine, and the check engine light is on. It feels like the engine's lost some power, and I'm seeing smoke when I accelerate. I'm guessing it's something to do with the crankcase ventilation, maybe the PCV valve? Anyone had similar issues?

I had a similar issue with my 1007. Symptoms sound very familiar. Has the car been idling roughly too? Any strange noises from the engine bay? How many kilometers are on the clock?

Yeah, the idle is a bit rough sometimes. Now that you mention it, I think I hear some hissing sounds. It has around 297568 km. Did replacing the PCV fix it for you?

In my case, a malfunctioning crankcase ventilation valve was indeed the culprit. Given the symptoms and mileage, a defective valve is highly probable. I strongly recommend that you consult a qualified mechanic for proper diagnosis and repair to prevent consequential damages.

Took it to the shop, and you were right, the PCV valve was busted. Cost me 360€ to get it sorted. Runs like a charm now.
