Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, the idle is definitely rough, almost like it's struggling to stay alive. And you're right, when I take off the oil filler cap, there's quite a bit of pressure and fumes. It seems my initial diagnosis might be correct. How did you resolve the issue when you had it? Was it a straightforward fix, or did you run into any complications?

Given the rough idle and pressure, it does sound like the crankcase ventilation. Honestly, I tried a few things myself, but it was a pain to reach, and I was worried about messing something up. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the valve and replaced it. Considering the potential for further damage if it's not done correctly, it might be worth getting a professional to handle it. Just a thought, based on my own experience.

Okay, thanks for confirming my suspicions and sharing your experience. I appreciate the cautious advice. I'll take it to a trusted mechanic. They've quoted me around 360€ to replace the crankcase ventilation valve. Sounds fair, considering the potential hassle and risks involved. Fingers crossed this sorts it out!

I had similar symptoms with my 106. If it is the crankcase ventilation, it's not a fun issue. Does the idle sound rough, or is the car running normally? If you remove the oil filler cap while the engine is running, do you feel any excessive pressure or see a lot of fumes coming out? Those are some symptoms of the valve failing. It could lead to emissions problems, which is what happened in my case.
