Peugeot 106 engine stalling

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my 2002 Peugeot 106 diesel. The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine stalls sometimes when idling. I scanned the error memory, and it seems to indicate an incorrect fuel composition. I've already tried checking the fuel filter, but it looked fine. Any ideas?

I also drive a Peugeot 106, and your issue sounds familiar. I once had similar symptoms: engine light on, stalling... Turns out, it was a defective cable or plug connection to a sensor related to the combustion chamber. Have you checked those?

Thanks for the quick reply! Which sensor are you referring to specifically? And where is it located? I'm not super familiar with the engine layout.

Unfortunately, I don't know the precise name of the sensor, or its location. As I recall, a diagnostic check at the workshop confirmed the defective cable connection. They were able to identify the exact point of failure. I would suggest visiting your local mechanic.

Okay, thanks for the suggestion! I'll take it to a mechanic. They found a defective cable connection to a sensor, and repairing it cost me 95€. Problem solved!
