Peugeot 106 engine stalls at idle

Check engine light on my 2000 Peugeot 106 gasoline is on, and the engine sometimes stalls at idle. There's an error stored. The car has 233207 km on the clock. I checked the fuel level sensor; visually it looks fine. I suspect a faulty sensor. Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa, but with a diesel engine. The symptoms you describe sound very familiar. In my case, the error was also related to the fuel level sensor, and the car would stall unexpectedly. Was there a defective fuse?

Thanks! I haven't checked the fuse yet, as I'm unsure of its location. Could you please provide more information about which fuse to inspect?

In my Opel, the fuel sensor issue and stalling were linked. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to be sure. It could be a fuse, or you might have a faulty fuel sensor. Get it checked out.

I appreciate your help. I took the car to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective fuse, as you suspected. The repair cost me 52€. The fuel level sensor is now operating normally again. Thank you!
