Thanks for the reply! The resistor pack is a good idea. I'm not very familiar with that, where is it located, and how would I test it? Is it something that can be easily replaced, or would I need special tools? Any tips on accessing it? I think I could do it myself if I could get some instruction on what to do.

Okay, so I am definitely not an expert, but my mechanic told me it controls the fan speed by using resistors to drop the voltage to the blower motor. As far as location, it should be somewhere near the blower motor itself, usually under the dash on the passenger side. Honestly, though, based on your symptoms and the error code, it really does sound like the blower motor. In my experience, you should just go to the workshop, that sounds too technical.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop and you were right; the blower motor was defective. The repair cost me 365€, but at least I have fresh air again. Thanks again for your help!

Oh, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my 106. It was driving me nuts! I know basically nothing about fixing cars but it sounds like a defective blower motor. I mean, I don't know how those things work, but the air conditioning relies on it, right? Have you checked the resistor pack as well? I've heard that can cause issues with the fan speed. Good luck!
