Peugeot 106 Immobilizer Issue

My 2003 Peugeot 106 (gasoline engine) won't start. It cranks, but either doesn't start, or starts briefly then dies. Error code points to the immobilizer. Security light is on. Could it be key programming?

It is! The security light is blinking like it's trying to send a Morse code message. What did that mean for your Clio? Was it a major headache to fix?

Yep, blinking security light confirmed my suspicions. In my case, it was the immobilizer acting up. Best bet is to get it checked at a workshop; they can reprogram the key or diagnose the immobilizer itself.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a local garage, and you were spot on! The key needed to be reprogrammed. Cost me 45€, and now it's running perfectly. Appreciate the help!
