So, it's likely the battery then, you reckon? I haven't changed it yet, wanted to check if it was a common thing first. How did you resolve your issue? Did you change the battery yourself, or did you have to take it somewhere?

Yes, in my case it turned out to be exactly that. If you aren't comfortable with electronics I would advise you to go to your trusted workshop. You could try to change the battery yourself, but if something goes wrong you may end up with a bricked key and that's far more expensive than the 37€ I paid to get it fixed. For me, it was a simple trip to the shop. They confirmed the battery was dead and replaced it in a jiffy. Like changing the battery in a flashlight, but with a tiny computer attached!

Thanks so much for the help! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on – it was just the battery in the key fob. They replaced it, cleared the error code, and everything's working perfectly again. Cost me 37€. Appreciate the advice!

Ah, the dreaded Peugeot key fob gremlins! I had something similar happen with my 106, although I can't recall the exact year of my model. The symptoms you describe are spot on. If the keyless go is no longer working this is very likely to be the issue. I hope it's just the battery, like you're hoping, that would be an easy fix. Did you try to change the battery?
