Peugeot 106 leaning suspension issue
Summary of the thread
The Peugeot 106 is experiencing a leaning suspension issue, with a significantly lower ride height and a bumpy ride, possibly due to a faulty air suspension bellows valve. The problem could be related to the compressor working overtime, similar to a leaky tire scenario. The suggested solution is to have a workshop diagnose the issue, as the air bag valve might be the culprit.

Thanks. I haven't monitored the compressor. Where would I find the compressor on this model to listen for noise?

On your 106, the compressor is usually near the rear axle. However, given the symptoms and the age, the air bag valve itself is likely the culprit. Think of it like a balloon with a tiny hole; it might be hard to pinpoint exactly where the air is escaping. I suggest a workshop for a precise diagnosis.

Thanks. I suspected as much. I will take it to a workshop. The estimated repair cost is 590€.

A leaning issue on a car with that mileage could certainly point towards a suspension problem. Is the compressor running constantly to try and compensate? It's like a leaky tire on a bicycle – the pump works overtime.
