Peugeot 106 low heating output

Hey, I'm having trouble with my 2002 Peugeot 106 diesel. The heating output is really low, barely warmer than ambient. I scanned it and there's an error stored in the memory. I've checked the usual stuff, but no luck. Any ideas? I suspect a faulty water valve, could a dodgy cable or plug connection to the component cause this?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my 106. Is the engine coolant level okay? A blocked valve could definitely be the culprit if it's not circulating properly.

Coolant level is fine. How did you pinpoint the valve as the problem? Did you have the same symptoms and error codes?

Yep, exact same symptoms. Error code pointed to the water valve circuit. I'd get it checked in a workshop, probably just a defective valve. If so, a repair should be around 95€.

Thanks a lot for the help! Took it to the workshop, and as you said, the water valve was defective. Replaced it and all good now. Much appreciated!
