Peugeot 106 NOx Sensor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Peugeot 106 owner experienced a check engine light and error codes indicating a NOx sensor failure, along with an exhaust leak. The suspected causes included a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with someone who had a similar issue, it was suggested to have the vehicle checked at a workshop. The problem was confirmed to be a faulty NOx sensor, which was replaced, resolving the check engine light and exhaust leak issues.

Thanks! I didn't notice any problems with the air-fuel ratio, but I'll keep an eye on it. Where was the leak coming from on your car?

Mine was from the sensor itself, pretty corroded. Honestly, I just bit the bullet and got it checked at a workshop. Turns out it WAS the NOx sensor, needed replacing. Best to get it sorted before emissions get worse.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I followed your suggestion and took it to a workshop. You were right, it was the NOx sensor. Cost me 95€ to replace it, but now the check engine light is off, and the exhaust leak is gone!

Hey! I had a similar problem with my 106. Check engine light, error codes... annoying. Was the air-fuel ratio also affected? Mine was running rough.
