Peugeot 106 Overheating
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Peugeot 106 is experiencing overheating issues, suspected to be due to the electric fan not activating. The initial troubleshooting involved checking wires and fuses, which were fine, leading to the suspicion of a faulty connection. Advice was given to inspect the fan motor cable and plug connection, which was confirmed as the issue by a garage, resulting in a successful repair.

Thanks! Where exactly is that plug located? Is it easy to get to, or am I going to need some serious contortion skills? Any tips for checking it properly?

The plug is near the fan motor itself. Visually inspect it and test the voltage with a multimeter. If defective, a visit to a workshop is advisable.

Cheers! Took it to a local garage after your advice. Turns out you were spot on – faulty connector! 95€ later, and it's all sorted. Thanks for your help!

I had similar overheating issues with my 106. Check the fan motor cable and plug connection. Often the culprit.
