Interesting! I wouldn't have thought of that. How did a bad battery cause overvoltage errors though? I would have expected undervoltage.

Yeah, it's counterintuitive, I know! The ECU gets wonky readings and tries to compensate, leading to voltage spikes. If the battery is heavily discharged the voltage regulator goes nuts. Honestly, just go to a workshop and ask them to do a load test on the battery and check the alternator output. It's the best way.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were right – the battery was shot. Replaced it, and the overvoltage errors are gone. Total cost was 290€ for the battery and diagnostics. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, overvoltage on a 106? Sounds gnarly. I had something similar on my 106 a while back. Did you check the car battery? That was my issue. Heavily discharged or defective cell can cause all sorts of weirdness.
