Peugeot 106 Stalling Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Peugeot 106 with a gasoline engine is experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light. The suspected cause is a clogged fuel tank ventilation valve, which is a common issue. The solution involves accessing and clearing the clogged hoses, which may require professional assistance. After addressing the problem at a workshop, the car runs smoothly again.

Clogged hoses, you say? Any idea how to get at them? I've had a quick look but couldn't immediately spot the issue.

Okay, yeah accessing them can be a pain. Honestly, I spent an afternoon wrestling with it before admitting defeat. Best bet is to get it on a lift, but if you can't, my advice would be to take it to a workshop. They'll sort it quick.

Cheers. Just got it back from the shop. You were spot on, clogged hoses to the ventilation valve. They flushed the whole system, replaced a sensor, and cleared the code. Cost me 175€ but runs like a dream now.

Yeah, I had similar symptoms with my 106. Check engine light, rough idling. Turned out the hoses connected to the fuel tank ventilation valve were clogged. Pretty common issue, I think.
