Peugeot 106 Temperature Gauge Problems

I've had a quick look at the fuses, but honestly, I'm not entirely sure which one to check for the cooling system. That's a good point about the grille being restricted – I noticed some leaves and debris stuck in there the other day, but I cleared it out. Could that have caused some lasting damage somehow? Is there a specific fuse you're thinking of?

It's hard to say if the leaves caused lasting damage, but it's possible they contributed to the problem. As for the fuse, I can't recall which one it was on mine, sorry. I ended up just taking it to a local shop and they sorted it pretty quickly. Considering the engine light and the temperature issues, it's probably worth getting it checked out by someone who knows what they're doing, just to be on the safe side. It could save you a bigger headache down the road.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop as you suggested, and you were right on the money. It turned out to be a defective fuse related to the cooling system. They replaced it, cleared the error codes, and now everything seems to be running smoothly. Total cost was only 52€, so thankfully it wasn't anything too serious. Cheers for pointing me in the right direction!

Hey, I have a 106 too, though I can't remember what year it is. I had something similar happen a while back. The temp gauge was wonky, and the engine light was on. I didn't notice the warm-up time, though. Did you check your fuses? I'm not saying it's definitely the fuse, but it's something to check. What do you mean by restricted cooling grille anyway? Did something get stuck in there?
