Peugeot 106 Tire Pressure Sensor Fault

My 2000 Peugeot 106 diesel is showing a 'Tire pressure too low' warning with an error message. Diagnostic checks show an error in the memory. Could it be a dead sensor battery? It has 264513 km.

Ah, the dreaded TPMS issue! I have a 106 as well. I had something similar happen a while back. The light kept popping on, even when the tire pressure seemed fine according to my pressure gauge. It was driving me nuts! Did you check the air valve? Maybe it's just a bit dirty or something.

I inspected the air valve and didn't see any issues. What fixed the problem for you, and were the symptoms the same? I'm trying to figure out if I should replace the sensor.

I took mine to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a faulty sensor. Messing around with those things isn't worth the hassle if you don't have the tools. They said the battery was probably dead, which is common. So, yeah, sounds like the sensor. Just get it sorted professionally. It's less stress!

I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the tire pressure sensor was faulty, probably the battery. The repair cost 280€.
