Yeah, that's exactly it! It's like it can't decide what gear it wants to be in, especially going uphill. So, what happened with yours? Did you end up having to replace the whole transmission?

Thanks so much for the info! I was hoping it was something minor, but it sounds like I'm facing the music. Booked it into a transmission specialist who confirmed it's the torque converter. Ouch! At least I know what I'm dealing with now. Thanks again!

I've had similar issues with my 106. Does it feel like the car is struggling to maintain speed, almost like it's constantly hunting for the right gear? Like a bicycle chain skipping under pressure? If so, it could very well be the torque converter.
