Peugeot 106 Wiper Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Peugeot 106 has a wiper problem with an error stored in the memory. The issue could be due to a defective cable or plug connection. After checking the fuses and confirming the turn signal works, it was suggested that a faulty connection in the wiper circuit might be the cause. A workshop visit confirmed a corroded connector was the problem, which was repaired.

The turn signal is working fine. I did check the fuses; they all seem okay. Could it be something related to the rain sensor or cruise control, even though those features aren't standard on this model?

Nah, rain sensor and cruise control are unlikely on a 106 of that year. Given what you've checked, it's pointing more and more to a faulty connection somewhere in the wiper circuit. Probably best to have a workshop take a look before you start replacing parts randomly.

Thanks for the confirmation. Took it to the shop, and you were right – a corroded connector. Repair cost 95€.

Sounds plausible. Does the turn signal work? Sometimes those circuits are linked. Have you checked the fuse box? A blown fuse could also cause car wipers to suddenly stop working.
