Peugeot 107 air intake leak

I had a similar problem on my old Renault Clio, the hissing noise and check engine light. Turned out to be a split in the air intake hose after the air filter box. Check all the hoses for cracks or loose clamps.

How did you locate the split in the hose on your Renault Clio? Was it visible, or did you need leak detection? Where on the hose was the split?

The split was on the underside of the hose, so it wasn't easy to spot. I found it by feeling around while the engine was running – be careful of moving parts! I eventually took it to a workshop. Best to do that to be sure.

I'll check the underside of the hoses. If I can't find the leak, I'll see a technician. A damaged intake hose was found at the workshop. The repair cost 100€. Thanks again.
