Peugeot 107 Battery Sensor Issue

Good shout on the connections, I'll give them a look-see. The battery is only two years old. If the connections are clean, is there any other way to know for sure it's the sensor and not something else draining the battery?

Two years old, huh? Hmm, less likely the battery itself then. If connections are clean, honestly, properly diagnosing a sensor usually needs diagnostic gear to read its output. Without that, you're guessing. Given the symptoms, and the age of the car, it's a reasonable bet it's the sensor, but I wouldn't throw parts at it without being sure. Best bet is a decent workshop that can hook it up to their computer and confirm. Save you a headache in the long run!

Cheers for the advice! Gave the connections a scrub, but no dice. Took it to the workshop, and you nailed it – faulty battery sensor. New sensor plus labor came to 315€. Annoying, but at least it's sorted now. Thanks again!

Low voltage is a bummer. If your battery's struggling, a bad sensor could definitely be the culprit. Those sensors tell the car's computer how the battery is doing, so a faulty reading messes everything up. Have you checked the sensor's connections for corrosion or damage? Also, how old is the battery itself? Could just be its time is up.
