Peugeot 107 Coolant Loss
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot 107 diesel is experiencing coolant loss, triggering the check engine light and storing an error code. Initial checks for leaks around the water pump, radiator hoses, and expansion tank revealed no obvious issues. The problem was suspected to be air pockets or a potential head gasket issue. However, after further investigation, the cause was identified as a leaky thermostat housing, which was resolved with a relatively inexpensive repair.

Interesting! The cooling fan seems to kick in when it should, but I haven't paid super close attention to it. And no, haven't seen any white smoke... yet. Was your coolant loss gradual or sudden before you clocked the fan issue?

My coolant loss was pretty gradual at first, a little top-up every week or so. But yes, it got much worse when I noticed the fan acting up. Better to find out what's up and go to the workshop before it gets worse! Hope it all works out!

Cheers, that intermittent fan thing is food for thought. I booked it into a workshop, and turns out it was a leaky thermostat housing; thankfully just a 52€ fix! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had something similar happen with my 107. Is your cooling fan running properly? I noticed mine was intermittent, and that seemed to be contributing to coolant loss. Have you checked for any white smoke coming from the exhaust?
