Peugeot 107 Cruise Control Failure
Summary of the thread
The cruise control on a 2006 Peugeot 107 has stopped working, displaying an error message and failing to engage. The issue may be due to a faulty connection, particularly in the wiring or connectors to the cruise control actuator or throttle body. Checking these connections for corrosion or loose fittings is recommended, and if unresolved, professional diagnostics may be necessary.

Thanks for the quick response! When you say 'dodgy connection', where exactly should I be looking? I'm not super experienced with car electrics, but I can usually manage basic stuff if I know where to poke around. Which connector was the culprit on your Megane?

On the Megane, it was the multi-plug going into the cruise control actuator itself. However, tracing it back, the issue was corrosion in the loom where it ran near the engine. Give the connectors a wiggle, and if that does nothing, you might need to get someone to do a proper diagnostics check. It cost me 95€ to fix (defective component connection cable/plug).

Thanks a lot for the advice! I'll check the connections to the actuator and the throttle body first. If that doesn't solve it, I guess a trip to the workshop is in order. At least I have a better idea of what to tell them to look for now!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar cruise control issue with my old Renault Megane. The error message and complete lack of function were exactly the same. In my case, it turned out to be a dodgy connection. Have you checked the wiring and connectors to the actuator, or maybe the throttle body?
