Since the mechanic fixed the problem with the windshield wiper relay, there has been no other incident similar to this. That was clearly the main fault. You ask about the cost, well that cost quite a bit. To be precise, I had to fork out €375 to repair the relay. Not exactly a bargain, but since then my windshield wipers have been working perfectly again. It was worth every penny. Hope this helps you! See you then!

Wow, 375 €! That's really no mean feat. But at least it was a one-off and nothing happened after that. I'll take your advice and have this fault memory cleared and the relay replaced. So wish me luck to be as lucky as you! Thanks for the valuable advice, it really helped me a lot. See you next time and stay healthy!

Hey, I had the same problem with my Peugeot 206 Diesel (built in 2009). Speedometer was reading something and my windshield wipers were a mess too. I was in the same trap. It was actually the damn relay! It was certainly some kind of serious repair because my car became almost unusable. They changed the faulty relay at the garage and then everything ran like clockwork again. So yes, you could be right with your guess that it's the relay. Keep your head up, you'll be fine!
