Peugeot 107 Fault Code After Chip Tuning
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 107 experienced a recurring fault code and reduced engine power after chip tuning, suspected to be due to faulty ECU modifications. The issue was linked to using a less reputable tuning provider, which led to improper engine instructions. A similar case was resolved by reverting the ECU to its original settings at a professional workshop. The recommended solution is to have the ECU assessed and recalibrated by experts to restore proper engine function.

Thanks. The chip tuning was indeed done by a less reputable provider, due to budget. Could you tell me the specific fault codes you encountered and what you did to fix it?

The code I kept getting was related to fuel trim; the engine was trying to compensate for something the remap had messed up. I took it to a proper workshop. They ran diagnostics, confirmed the tuning was the problem, and reflashed the ECU back to its original settings. Get it looked at by professionals ASAP for your engine's sake.

Thanks for the advice. I had the car assessed by a workshop. They confirmed the faulty chip tuning and recalibrated the ECU. The total repair cost was 180€.

I have a 107, and something similar happened to me. I wasn't getting the promised performance gains after the chip install, and the car kept throwing codes. Did you use a reputable tuner, or a cheaper option? Bad tuning is like giving your engine a messed-up instruction manual.
