Peugeot 107 Headlight Range Control Fault

I'm having a headlight range control fault with my 2011 Peugeot 107 diesel. The error is stored, and the warning light is on. The low beams are shining too low. I've checked the servomotors, and they seem okay, but the issue persists. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hey, that sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Audi A3. Same symptoms: error light, beam adjustment all messed up. Did you check the electrical connectors to the headlight unit itself? Sometimes a loose or corroded connector can cause weird issues with the auto-leveling system. Worth a shot before digging deeper, right?

Interesting! I did a quick visual inspection, but didn't do a thorough check of the electrical connectors. Where on the headlight unit should I be focusing exactly? Could it be the control module itself?

On my Audi, it was the main connector going into the back of the headlight. Give it a wiggle and see if anything changes. Check for any corrosion while you are at it. Honestly, though, if the servomotors are okay, and the connectors seem fine, it might be time to get it checked out at a workshop with proper diagnostic tools. Might be something deeper in the system.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the connectors, cleaned them, but no luck. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective servomotor in the headlight, just as they suspected. Repair cost me 1040€ Appreciate the help!
