Peugeot 107 MAP sensor fault

My 2014 Peugeot 107 diesel has the check engine light on at 92279 km. Reduced engine power, poor response and higher fuel consumption. I suspect a faulty manifold pressure sensor, possibly from a large vacuum leakage. Has anyone else encountered this?

I had similar symptoms with my 107. Did you check the MAP sensor readings with an OBD scanner? A vacuum leak can definitely cause those issues.

Yes, I checked the MAP sensor readings. They seem erratic. What was the root cause in your case, and did replacing the MAP sensor solve it?

The MAP sensor was indeed the culprit. However, the erratic readings were a consequence of the vacuum leak. I suggest that you take it to a workshop. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the confirmation. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a faulty MAP sensor due to a vacuum leak, just as you suspected. Repair cost was 235€ Appreciate the help!
