Peugeot 107 Overheating Check Engine Light
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Peugeot 107 with a diesel engine is experiencing overheating and a check engine light issue. The coolant level is normal, leading to suspicion that the problem might be related to the active air flap, specifically a defective electromechanism. A fault code confirmed an issue with the flap motor, and a similar case was resolved by replacing the motor at a workshop. Booking a workshop appointment is suggested for a proper fix.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, sorry, should have mentioned that. The fault code points to a problem with the flap motor. Was it the same for you? What did you end up doing?

Yep, same fault code for me too. Honestly, after a bit of research, I just took it to a workshop. Messing with the cooling system felt a bit risky. Turned out to be the flap motor, like we suspected.

Thanks for the confirmation! I suspected as much. Looks like I'll be booking it into the workshop then. I'll let you know how it goes but I'm expecting around 590€. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Sounds familiar! I've got a 107 too. Had the same overheating and check engine light problem. Did you get a fault code read?
