Peugeot 107 Power Loss Battery Light
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot 107 diesel is experiencing power loss, a persistent battery light, starting difficulties, and flickering lights, with a diagnostic scan revealing a generic electrical fault. These symptoms suggest a potential alternator failure. It is recommended to check the charging voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running, aiming for around 14V. Ultimately, the alternator was confirmed to be faulty and replaced, resolving the issues.

Cheers! By 'charging voltage', do you mean testing the voltage at the battery terminals with the engine running? What sort of reading am I looking for?

Spot on. With the engine running, you should be seeing around 14V. Anything less and your alternator's probably not doing its job. But honestly, with those symptoms, I'd just get it to a workshop to confirm. Could save you a load of messing about.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the local garage, and you were spot on – alternator was toast. 960€ later, and she's running like a dream again.

Sounds like alternator trouble. Had similar issues with my old Opel Astra – kept throwing up weird electrical errors and the battery was always flat. Check your charging voltage, but yeah, could very well be the alternator packing it in.
