Peugeot 107 PTC Heater Problems

The heat does eventually work, but it takes a very long time to warm up, much longer than it used to. I've checked the fuses and relays, but haven't delved deeper than that. Given your experience, would you say it's almost certainly the PTC heater?

Based on what you've said, especially the slow warm-up, I'm 95% certain it's the PTC heater. I remember the frustration of driving in the cold with a barely functioning heater! Given the error code you mentioned and the symptoms aligning so closely with my experience, it's highly probable. I eventually had to bite the bullet and take mine to a workshop. They confirmed the defective heater and replaced it. It wasn't cheap, around 350€ including parts and labor if I recall correctly. I would definitely suggest visiting a professional workshop.

I appreciate your insights and sharing your experience. It seems a workshop visit is indeed the next step. Thank you for confirming my suspicions and providing the cost estimate; it helps to be prepared. I will post a resolution after the repair is completed.

Ah, the dreaded PTC heater! I had something similar with my 107. The symptoms you describe – rough cold starts and the fuel consumption increase – sound very familiar. If it is the heater, your HVAC system will struggle in cold weather. Is the heat not working at all? Did you check for any electrical faults? It might be a faulty heating element or a temperature control issue. I’d love to know if there are any additional problems, so I can give you better advice.
