Peugeot 107 starting issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Peugeot 107 diesel was experiencing starting issues, rough idling, and increased fuel consumption, with the check engine light on. The problem was suspected to be related to the fuel pump. Upon inspection, it was found that the issue was due to a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel pump. After repairing the connection, the car started and ran perfectly.

No, I haven't checked the electrical connections. Where exactly should I be looking? Is it easy to access?

The plug for the fuel pump is under the rear seat. But my mechanic told me that it also could be the fuel injector so I would recommend visiting a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! I checked the fuel pump plug and cable - they looked ok. I took it to a workshop, and you were right - it was a defective cable or plug connection. Repair cost 95€. Now it's starting and running perfectly!

I had almost the identical set of symptoms on my 107. Have you checked the fuel pump's electrical connections? Specifically, the cable and plug.
