Peugeot 107 temperature sensor AC issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 107 with a diesel engine is experiencing issues with a defective temperature sensor heat exchanger, leading to error messages and a non-functional air conditioning system. The problem might stem from a faulty temperature sensor affecting the engine cooling system, potentially causing the AC to malfunction. Despite normal temperature gauge readings and adequate coolant levels, the issue was ultimately traced to a faulty air conditioning control unit, which required professional repair.

The temperature gauge seems normal, believe it or not. Coolant levels are fine, too. Could it be anything else other than the sensor itself? Like, could the sensor need calibration or something?

Hmm, if the gauge is okay and coolant is good, it might be a deeper issue. It’s possible the AC control unit itself is the problem, since that talks to the sensor. Honestly, at this point, I’d get it to a workshop to properly diagnose. These things can get tricky.

You were right, the air conditioning control unit was faulty. Cost me 980€ to repair, but at least it's fixed. Thanks for the help!

Ugh, sounds like a mess! That temperature sensor could be causing all sorts of issues. Is the temperature gauge acting weird? A faulty sensor can mess with the engine cooling system, and that might be why your AC isn’t working. Have you checked for any coolant leaks?
