Peugeot 107 transmission oil pressure sensor fault

My 2005 Peugeot 107 with a gasoline engine is showing a transmission oil pressure sensor fault. The engine light is on, and it's gone into limp mode. Plus, the shifts are rough, and I'm hearing some grinding. Could the oil level be low?

I had something similar happen with my 107. Check your oil level first. A low oil level often triggers that sensor.

How did you know what to look for? What was your exact issue?

Same symptoms actually. Once the oil level was topped up, the problem disappeared. Still, I'd recommend getting it checked by a pro.

Topped up the oil, but the sensor was still faulty. The workshop confirmed it; a new sensor and oil change cost 365€ Thanks for the tip!
