Peugeot 107 Turbocharger Jerking Whistling

My 2010 Peugeot 107 with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The check engine light is on, and it's jerking when I accelerate. There's a high-pitched whistling and loud hissing sound coming from under the hood when I accelerate. Sometimes the engine even stalls when idling! I've noticed a drop in power and my fuel consumption has gone up! I suspect it might be the boost pressure sensor. I've checked the hoses and think the cable or plug connection might be defective. Anyone else experienced similar turbocharger issues?

Sounds like a boost leak. I had a similar issue with my 107. Check the connections to the boost pressure sensor again. Any error codes?

I've checked the connections visually, but is there a specific way to test the boost pressure sensor or the connections to be absolutely sure? I don't have a code reader.

Without a code reader, it's tough to pinpoint. I would recommend getting it checked out at a workshop. Could be a faulty sensor or just a loose connection, but better safe than sorry.

Took your advice and brought it to a garage. You were spot on! Bad boost pressure sensor and a dodgy connection. Cost me 95€ for the repair. Runs like a dream now. Thanks again!
