Peugeot 108 Alarm System Error

I own a 2020 Peugeot 108 with a gasoline engine, and I'm experiencing issues with the anti-theft alarm system. The system is showing 'Error stored in the error memory,' and the alarm is completely non-functional. I suspect a power failure may be the source. I've checked all the fuses I could find, but nothing seems to be obviously broken. Has anyone else encountered something similar?

Hey, I know this sounds crazy, but I had a similar thing with my Peugeot 108. Have you by any chance recently messed with the indicator settings? It sounds like your alarm system might be trying to activate the optical locking, and that throws everything off. Like when you accidentally hit a wrong key and suddenly your computer goes haywire!

Optical locking? I'm not sure I follow you. Could you explain what you mean by 'optical locking'? I did change some settings recently, so maybe that's related. Is there anything I can do to fix it myself?

Yeah, so basically, the alarm system is coded to use the indicators when locking/unlocking. If there's a glitch, it can cause all sorts of weirdness. Honestly, it's probably best to just take it to a workshop to get it recoded. It's like trying to fix a broken clock with a hammer – not gonna work!

Thanks for the insight! I've taken your advice and visited my trusted workshop. It turns out that you were right. They recoded the alarm system, and it is working now! The repair cost was 45€. Again, thank you for your help!
